I made this one last night and I've got more bottles on their way to me, I'm very excited! I went to the bead store and made a chain but it cost me $7 which is a bit much seeing as I'm only asking for $20 for the necklace but I just wanted to get this one done and I can find cheaper ones in the meantime.

What I Wore Today...
Blouse - TradeMe (one of my best buys EVER. You can't really see it here but it has an amazing paisly type pattern in the lace
Skirt - Thrifted
Shoes - TradeMe
These shoes will be my best friends over the next couple of weeks because on Saturday night an unfriendly piece of metal sticking out of a car scraped a bunch of skin off my ankle...not pleasant.
The light in this photo makes my face look like I'm different person and I'm not sure what I thought I was doing with my foot heh

Things That Make Me Happy This Week
1. Tapestry purse that I found for $3 (unfortunately the tapestry is only on one side, but it has two compartments so that makes up for it
2. Today we got our tickets for The Black Keys who are playing here in January
3. Realizing how many Scrumpy bottles we had in our house before we put the recycling out yesterday (A LOT)
70s Heaven
I also found this amazing 60s/70s dress. I think it's handmade but very well so, I adore it but unfortunately I'm far to short to suit maxi dresses (this thing is floor length) and I can't bring myself to alter it to be shorter so out it goes on TradeMe...sigh

Findssssss
I went op-shopping with my boy today and found some cute things, it's really getting dry out there though as more and more people catch onto the fact that you don't have to pay lots and buy designers labels to look good...eep
I also got a really cool Mod style dress with black and white flowers on it and a collar but I'm yet to hem it to a better length on me so I'll post photos when I get round to that

Urban Hippie
This is what I wore today. It was perfect for the muggy weather we are having and great for work because the dress is longer at the back so when I bend over I don't have to worry.
And my feather headband

Feather Barrette
I made this tonight with the left over guinea feathers from the headband I made (I'll post photos of that when the glue is dry)
I think it's quite sweet, I love the soft fluffy downy feathers, they make me want to rub them on my face :D

Feather Pendant
While I was making myself a guinea feather headband today my boyfriend had the idea that I should use one of the tiny ones in the glass bottle pendants I make
Here it is

Do Not Trust The Pack
Today I have been lounging around feeling depressed about the cloudy sky and playing Blink 182 songs on my new guitar (I decided they are good songs to learn because they are fast but reasonably easy to play, like the Ramones)
Yesterday I lost my mind and decided to dye my hair a light brown because I'm bored with the black...the pack showed black hair becoming a really nice golden brown, but what actually happened was kind of a disaster, the black bits DID NOT CHANGE COLOUR AT ALL, and my natural brown roots have gone an odd red brown colour. So I'm about to go out and buy some bleach (god forbid) and more dye to fix it . I really did not want to have to subject my bleach-virgin hair to that, but something has to be done. Wish me luck!

DIY Stud Jacket
Apologies for the bad photo, I'm still saving up for a new camera so I'm not so keen on outfit posts at the moment because I know they will be sub par but here is a jacket I bought for $5 with some studs I put in it.
It's funny how it immediately became 100% cooler to me once I studded it, now I'm inspired to do this to lots of my clothing and maybe some of the stuff I sell on trademe as well to make it more unique

Glitter Eyes
I've seen this on a few blogs already but I have to post it because it truly delighted me...you probably know about my doll-face obsession already and this girl is PERFECT
Tuesday
My good friend Rachel is moving back to Auckland soon so we organized a daytime drinking session in the sun. We ended up on my friend Annah's boat that was anchored in the marina by the Wellington waterfront
I can't even describe how warm and peaceful and happy a day it was although I do remember lying back on a boat vowing to myself that if I had a cigarette in my hand at that exact moment that I would actually be in heaven. (This never eventuated, of course, because I don't smoke often and won't let myself buy any)
There is something mildly disturbing about being intoxicated and hungover all in one day.
It resulted in us drinking copious amounts of lime cordial when we got home, and me grating my thumb on the cheesegrater.
I may have even got a bit of a healthy glow to my skin but I'm sure it will take a few more days(weeks, months) in the sun to really make a difference, plus that was a big step for me because last summer I inexplicably spent a whole three months worth of sunny days indoors doing...what? I don't even know.
I feel a bit silly because there are so many photos of me here but I'm not sure everyone would appreciate me putting their faces on my blog for all to see...you see?
